Aikido is a non-violent martial art focusing on redirecting your opponent’s energy (Ki). It is meditative while also physically engaging. For many, it has turned into a life-long practice.
Based in Tradition
Shizuo Imaizumi Sensei studied directly under the founder of Aikido, Morihei Ueshiba. He subsequently taught for the Ki Society led by Koichi Tohei. Today, he blends these styles into his own take on the art, drawing from his 50-plus years of practicing Aikido.
Rigorous Curriculum
Learn techniques that are not practiced in other dojos, like in-depth training with the wooden sword (bokken) and wooden staff (jo).
Member-run Dojo
